About Lincolnshire County Cricket Ltd

Lincolnshire Cricket welcomes you to our new website!

Lincolnshire Cricket acts as the arm for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for cricket all over the county. We work within all areas of cricket from grass roots (schools) to club, county and youth cricket. These range from our budding U10s to our up and coming U19 squad.

Over the past two years we have seen cricket grow in terms of participation and sporting excellence and have witnessed wonderful examples of teamwork and determination.

We run cricket courses in Primary and Secondary schools across Lincolnshire, this year visiting around 90 schools.

As well as this, we have developed our own Junior Jets Cricket Academy, which aims to develop cricketing skills from a young age. Courses are held over the school holidays at various locations across Lincolnshire. Our Academy starts with learning basic skills, gradually increasing confidence and ability, finally graduating the five tiered scheme with a Gold Star award.

This year we are offering a wide range of courses across Lincolnshire for all our courses up until the end of August.

An area which has held particular focus over 2011 and going in to 2012, is Women's and Girl's cricket. Cricket is no longer a game just for boys, more and more girls are playing both for fun and competitively, and this is something Lincolnshire take pride in encouraging. Many clubs around the county offer cricket training specifically for girls. For more information on this, please contact our Women and Girl's Co-ordinator, Andrew Hibberd.

Although we focus predominantly on developing youth cricket, we are spending an increasing amount of time encouraging adult participation. This year, we pioneered a new game in Lincolnshire; Double Dozen. This game is a fun, social game for non-cricket playing adults to come along and have a good time whilst keeping fit. We currently have five teams in the league; Ram's Raiders, Friends of Lincolnshire Cricket, Lincoln Umpires Association, Gelders Group and University of Lincoln. We are always on the lookout for new teams so visit our Double Dozen page for information on how to register!

Another area of focus for us in fundraising. We are a non-profit organisation and therefore rely on the generosity of the ECB and local companies sponsoring us, in order for us to continue offering and expanding the services we offer.

…Imagine living in a County that offers its community a distinctive and fulfilling cricket experience, which enriches their lives and provides a healthy and vibrant environment to play, coach, officiate in cricket and enjoy as a spectator at all levels of the game. Imagine a County that is recognised for its enthusiasm, commitment, and success within the sport of cricket; but coupled with this the success is a sound economic foundation that brings with it a sustainable future for cricket throughout Lincolnshire…

We are a registered company limited by guarantee, acting as the arm of the ECB for cricket all over Lincolnshire. Below is a list of our KPIs and the increases we saw between 2009 and 2010.
