Celebrating our volunteers month- Part 3

Today’s focus in the OSCAs series is Normanby Park CC, who are a nominee in the #raisethebat category.

During the initial Covid-19 period, Normanby allowed three gentlemen onto their ground to maintain the five-acre facilities, adhering to social distancing at all times.

The gentlemen in question, Mark Mettam, Adrian Holmes and Sam Kelsey, put in some fantastic work creating disabled access ramps and hand rails, as well as installing CCTV, repairing sight screens and fence panels and cutting and maintaining the wicket & outfield.

This work has enabled the local community to enjoy cricket and made it more accessible, and sets it up to benefit from the facilities post-Covid. It has also contributed to the mental wellbeing of the three senior gentlemen by keeping them busy in a safe environment.

We would like to congratulate Normanby Park CC on their nomination and send our well wishes to all those involved in this great project.
