Strategic Vision

Lincolnshire County Cricket Ltd - What We Do:
We are the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) national governing body representative for cricket across Greater Lincolnshire from Long Sutton to Grimsby. Our role is to strategically manage the development of cricket in Greater Lincolnshire. This includes development, County teams, girls and boy's youth, as well as the County Cricket Club team, coach development, officials, volunteers and player pathways.

Our development and aspirations stretch from local community cricket into schools and colleges. As an organisation we operate a number of training programmes from getting started in cricket to advance coaching courses.

Our programme on Sustainable Communities Strategy and Lincolnshire Sports Strategy is key in ensuring a vibrant community where people enjoy wellness and work together to build a better community.

Imagine...
Living in a County that offers its community a distinctive and fulfilling cricket experience, which enriches lives, is fun and provides a healthy and vibrant environment to play, coach, officiate in and enjoy as a spectator at all levels of the game.

Imagine...
A County that is recognised for its enthusiasm, commitment, and success within the sport of cricket; but coupled with this success is a sound economic foundation that brings with it a sustainable future for Cricket for All.

"We live in a world where everything needs to happen faster. What used to take place in a month now needs to happen in a week. Young people are growing up within this environment and have an exploring expectation; our offer in cricket has to widen to compete with this ever changing demand."

What are we going to do to realise our ambitions and tackle the challenges?
Our measures of success will be:
Lincolnshire people are engaged and proud. We offer an emerging cricket culture coupled with a strong prowess which is growing in reputation and delivering a diverse cricketing offer. Lincolnshire Cricket will also be economically driven, with a sound sustainable future.

"There is no better time to engage in sport and wellness. The London Olympics will enthuse and kindle the nation's dreams into activity and we need to be there to harness that surge in energy. Bells and whistles wear off, but usefulness never does. There is real beauty and value in providing simply the basics very well"
Robin Wright, Director of Sport, University of Lincoln.

Our sporting vision:
By 2013, we will be a leading non-first class cricketing County in the provision of player and coaching and providing a diverse offer of a quality cricketing experience to our community.

Our Sporting Culture Objectives...
We aim to build a strategic capacity within Lincolnshire Cricket to maximise club, district and county delivery, and to use strategic alliances with our partners to develop a cricket system that reflects an overall drive towards fulfilling our objectives to provide a Cricket For All culture:

 Provide strong leadership direction through transparency and dynamic governance
 Promote increased participation in cricket
 Develop a player, coach and official pathway that allows the opportunity for individuals to reach their full potential
 Promote healthy lifestyle, Cricket For All, increase participation in hard to reach groups and reduce inequality
 Increase the profile of Lincolnshire Cricket
 Build strategic capacity through partnerships to maximise economic sustainability.
