We were lucky enough to have representatives from many of our sponsors including David Montenegro of the RAF Red Arrows, Peter Motley from the Lincolnshire Cooperative and Dipan Suwarneraj and Angela Williams from our newest sponsor Barefoot Traveller Sports.
Our proud sponsors, amongst others, were all kind enough to donate generous raffle prizes including signed Red Arrows memorabilia, a Fair Trade Hamper from the Lincolnshire Coop, dance lessons courtesy of Go Dance studios, a selection of wines and spirits and a VIP experience at Sakura Lincoln. Guest speaker, journalist and author Grahame Lloyd donated two copies of his book ‘Six of the Best', personally signed to each winner. The most sought after prize of the evening was courtesy of Barefoot Traveller Sports and Jet Airways; a trip for one person to Sri Lanka worth around £950!
Our guest speaker for the night was broadcaster and journalist Grahame Lloyd who gave a presentation with ex-cricketer John Parkin and an excellent insight into his book ‘Six of the Best'. A very big thank you to both Grahame and John for coming along.
For the first time a Lifetime Achievement Award was handed out to a very deserved winner; Harry Pougher. With a long and successful career cricket, first playing for LCCC in 1959 aged 18 and now being the chairman at Lindum CC he has helped to coach one of England's finest; Mike Atherton. On the evening, Harry received a heartfelt tribute from Mike as well as the Lincolnshire County Cricket Award for Lifetime Achievement.
All in all, it was a very successful evening and once again thank you to everyone involved in arranging the evening, donating fantastic raffle prizes and of course congratulations to the winners.
