Lincolnshire Cricket – RoadMap to Return to Cricket

Lincolnshire Cricket Road Map for return to cricket 2020.

Step 1: Keep the lights on – Supporting clubs and leagues with financial support / signposting, communications, social media interactions in the ‘protect’ phase.

Step 2: Prepare to Return – Compose a joint statement of intent on behalf of the recreational game in Lincolnshire and publicise widely through the club network.

Step 3: Prepare to Return – Discuss via the leagues / associations forum suggested formats and playing plans for the remainder of the season (working on a 1st August start date – but with flexibility to move if necessary) Create an appendix of possible suggestions to go out with the joint statement and this roadmap.

Step 4: Prepare to Return – Individual leagues to take the suggested options to their clubs to get a consensus of opinion over the next week or two.

Step 5: Prepare to Return – Clubs to feedback to individual league / Lincs Cricket on their preferences by the last Monday in June.

Step 6: Prepare to Return – Conference call brought together of key constituents to work out a solution based on the feedback at the End of June.

Step 7: Return to Cricket – Constituent members to feedback ‘solution’ to the clubs in their network and support clubs in the returning to the game.

Please refer to the joint statement released, all of the above timescales are subject to advice / guidelines given to us by the Government and ECB. Public safety remains the number 1 priority whilst we would like to get our game back to ‘normality’.

Please also note the 1st August date is not an official date endorsed by government / ECB but a date selected to enable us to put together the plan based on reasonable assumptions.
