An interview with Caitlin Phillips

Caitlin is a Lincolnshire Women’s County player who has played cricket for 13 years which has included representing the county since 2011. In a series of interviews, Caitlin, a bowling allrounder is first under the spotlight.

Q: When did you start playing cricket?

A: I first started playing cricket about 13 years ago. 

Q: What club do you play for?

A: I currently play for Market Rasen Ladies and Barton Town.

Q: How long have you represented the county for?

A: I have represented the county since 2011.

Q: What is your most memorable moment in an Imps shirt?

A: Playing cricket with ICC Cricketer of the year Katheryn Bryce in the most recent Lincs cricket T20 series. 

Q: What is your most memorable moment on the cricket field?

A: My most memorable moment is getting 5 wickets for 3 runs at my home ground (Barton Town CC) where both my parents were watching. 

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

A: What I enjoy the most about cricket being with team and seeing constant improvement in other people’s performances. 

Q: What does playing cricket in a women’s team mean to you?

A: Being part of a women’s team means a lot to me as it something incredibly special. I would not have been given this opportunity to grow and play for Lincolnshire women if it were not for a women’s team. I have a lot to thank cricket for on and off the field!
