The Lincolnshire Hundred
The Lindum Cricket Club, Friday 23rd August
On Friday the 23rd August, as part of the Lindum Cricket Club floodlit cricket festival, Lincolnshire cricket are coming together to stage a one off exhibition cricket match to showcase the very best of cricket in the county.
Playing to the rules of the new 100 ball competition, an invitational Lincolnshire Premier League XI will take on a Lincolnshire Legends XI.
The Premier League XI will be an invitational team featuring some of the best cricketers from each of the current premier league clubs in Lincolnshire.
Opponents on the night will again be an invitational side made up of some of the best cricketers to have represented Lincolnshire over the past 20 years. The Legends side will feature a number of players with first class and professional experience, players who were part of the last Lincolnshire side to win the County Championship and individuals who have made a significant contribution to cricket in the county.
The game will be played to the new 100 ball format, in coloured clothing under lights with a start time of 6.30pm.
The finals of the Lindum Floodlit competition will take place after this exhibition match (approx. 9pm start time)
This event is sponsored by the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Lincoln, to highlight the launch of the recent partnership developed between the University and Lincolnshire Cricket.
This is a ticketed event and tickets for the evening are priced at £5 for adults, £3 for children (Under 16’s).
