There are now 3 weeks to go until the Lincolnshire Hundred and Lincolnshire Cricket are delighted to announce more players from both the Lincolnshire Premier League XI and the Legends XI.
On the night the match will be played to the Hundred ball format, under floodlights as part of the Lindum CC, Floodlit cricket festival on Friday the 23rd August.
A Lincolnshire Premier League XI, featuring some of the best players currently playing in the highest level of recreational cricket in the county will take on a ‘Lincolnshire Legends XI’ featuring some of the best cricketers to have represented Lincolnshire over the past 20 years. The final of the Lindum floodlit festival will take place after the Lincolnshire Hundred match.
Featuring in the Lincolnshire Premier League XI will be:
James Kimber, Bracebridge Heath CC:
One of the county’s most promising young opening bowlers, James currently plays for reigning league champions Bracebridge Heath. James has represented the county at senior level and has a best return of 4/26 in the Premier League this season.
Karanjit Bansal, Scunthorpe Town CC:
Representing Scunthorpe Town CC is Karanjit Bansal. Karanjit is another of the premier league XI who has also represented Lincolnshire CCC and has amassed just over 2000 runs in all formats in Minor county cricket. Karanjit is a hard hitting top order batsmen and useful off spin bowler. Karanjit is currently in the top 10 batsman in the Premier league and has a highest premier league score of 169 n.o
Andrew Hibberd, Sleaford CC:
Representing Sleaford on the night is Andrew Hibberd. Andrew is a top order batter and seasoned campaigner having played over 140 games for Sleaford 1st XI in the premier league. Andrew has a top score of 107 in the Lincs Premier League and has 39 scores of 50 or more across his league cricket career.

Paul Cook, ex Lincolnshire CCC (2005 – 2012):
Another former captain of Lincolnshire CCC (2010 – 2012) Paul was a powerful middle order batsman who played some memorable innings for the county. Paul played the vast majority of his club cricket for Bracebridge Heath CC and was a central part of numerous league winning campaigns for the Peacocks. Paul amassed over 2200 runs during his county career with a highest score of 127. Paul scored 5 centuries and 12 fifties for Lincolnshire and jointly holds the record for the highest 6th wicket partnership for the county of 223 (P.Cook 113, O. Burford 128)
Martyn Dobson, Northamptonshire CCC & Lincolnshire CCC (2002 – 2011)
Martyn was a top order batsman for Lincolnshire and part time off spinner. Martyn scored over 3000 runs for Lincs and is one of 5 Lincolnshire cricketers to have scored a double century in the county championship (4TH highest individual score for LCCC of 201). Martyn also jointly holds the record for the highest 2nd wicket partnership for the county of 331 (M. Dobson 161 n.o, P. Pollard 184), the 5th wicket partnership of 255 (M. Dobson 115, R. Cook 148) and the 7th wicket partnership of 208 (M. Dobson 201, S Airey 86). Martyn also took 84 wickets with a best of 5 for 82.
David Lucas, ex Nottinghamshire CCC, Northamptonshire CCC, Yorkshire CCC, Worcestershire CCC & Lincolnshire CCC (2006 – 2016)
David is arguably one of the highest qualified of the legends team having had a prominent professional career that saw him feature for 4 first class counties. David made his professional debut for Nottinghamshire back in 1999 and in total played in 94 first class games, 85 List A games and 30 T20 matches. A skillful left arm opening bowler and lower batsman David took over 260 first class wickets and scored over 1500 first class runs. David made his Lincolnshire debut in 2006 and is yet another former Lincolnshire captain featuring for the legends side. David took 78 wickets for Lincs over the 22 games that he represented the county with best of 6 for 58.
