The first Lincolnshire Women’s Cricket League was established in 2012 and continues to expand right across the county gaining pace each season. Thanks to the raised profile of the England Women’s XI successes in the international game popularity has soared. Increasing numbers of clubs in Lincolnshire have women’s sections and are delighted to welcome new players adding to the Lincolnshire League and an increasingly competitive season each year.
Ask your local club about Women’s Cricket or contact Lincolnshire Cricket who will put you in touch with your nearest women’s team. If you are part of a cricket club and would like to start a women’s section please contact us for advice and support.
Young players are welcomed at clubs and can progress through the Lincolnshire Regional Programme to train, play and have fun graduating to playing in county-wide and inter-county competitions. In Lincolnshire we are proud to say we have some highly skilled, determined and talented women cricketers representing a growing number of participating clubs around the county. We continue to go from strength to strength.
The prospects for the future of Women’s Cricket are very exciting so please get involved and ask for more information.
